Turning the ups and downs of life into catchy pop hooks is where Connor’s music finds its home. A singer/songwriter from Philadelphia, Connor released his debut album Storyteller in 2020, showcasing his ability to meld brutally honest lyricism with melodies that you can’t get out of your head, all with a soulful modern narratively-driven flair and his powerful voice. Storyteller covers the scope of a relationship through each of its emotional stages, beginning to end, with numerous standouts: the grandiose ballad “The Beginning”, the soulful choir of “Blue Eyes”, the relatable heartbreak in “The Old You”, and the heart-eyes indie pop of “I Guess You’re Alright”.
Since then, his sound has embraced all sides of pop music, diversifying his artistry while remaining uniquely him. “Wish You Were Here” is a sunny indie pop ode to falling in love, creating a perfect song for the summer. “Act Right” brings his soulful inflection to a more R&B pop arena, with bitingly sarcastic and pointed lyricism.
With his latest EP, IN MY HEAD, he adds new genres and influences to his discography with the Frank Ocean-inspired title track, the feisty bitter blues rock of “Enough”, and the summery freedom of the dance-worthy “The Art of Letting Go”.
The project further proves that Connor’s brand of pop music cannot and will never be defined by one sound.
